Saudi Arabia rebukes US Congress’ response to Khashoggi murder

Saudi Arabia has hit back at the US after Congress formally linked the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi to the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The Saudi Ministry for Foreign Affairs issued a statement, saying the move was a ‘blatant interference’ that ‘undermined the Kingdom’s regional and international role’. Saudi officials maintain that the crown prince was not involved in Mr Khashoggi’s death inside Istanbul’s Saudi consulate in October.
